E-commerce scale-up Dwarfs profits significantly from Amazon Prime Days

Amsterdam – July 26, 2022 | Dwarfs ( www.dwarfs.io ), the e-commerce scaleup that acquired 10
webshops last year, achieved record sales in July as a result of the Amazon Prime Days that took
place on July 12th and 13th. Only consumers with a Prime subscription could take advantage of the
bargain festival where thousands of products were heavily discounted, and which was introduced
by Amazon six years ago in response to the Black Friday phenomenon.

Dwarfs recorded 40% more sales than the month before on Amazon over the prime days, and 75%
year-on-year growth. In terms of units, 92% more products were sold (4,953 pieces (2022) versus
2,575 pieces (2021). The bestsellers were kitchen products, especially knife blocks (+200%) and pan
protectors (+167%) as well as cable management products (+164%). This was likely driven in part by
the continuing trend towards eating more at home (over eating out) as well as increased working
from home.

For Dwarfs, the sharp increase in turnover underlines the importance of a professional presence on
the marketplaces. “Last year we focused on the brand and product positioning on the marketplaces.
Our first thought is always optimal stock management, because the golden rule in marketplaces is
'make sure you can always deliver'. Secondly targeted advertising (PPC), and better quality content
ensures a higher conversion rate through improvements in text, photo and video material. Our
webshops have really benefited from our expert teams who do all this from our head office,” says
Dwarfs CEO Demian Beenakker.

Dwarfs currently employs 32 employees. The 10 webshops acquired by the company so far are:
AMCO, Kristies Kitchen, Slaapkalm, Calmzy , Litollo , Gadgy , Globetrade , Dealtraders , Astaro and
Snoozle.
